When my wife and I visited family in Pemberton we stayed at the lodge for 3 nights and 4 days The underground parking lot had 80100 spaces but during our stay only 5 cars were ever present Each space was small with a concrete support pillar every second spot On returning to the lot late on our final night in our rental car we straddled two spaces near the elevator since it was nearly empty Early the next morning we left for Vancouver airport to fly back home to Savannah To our surprise there was a letter on our windshield saying that we had broken an unposted rule about taking up more than one parking spaceresulting in a 50 fine added to our bill which couldnt be taken off by anyone except for the manager who refused to remove it despite her customer service being questioned by us both We then left after being asked by her and found an outside sign listing garage etiquette rules with fines or towings as infraction punishments Once home I checked my VISA account and saw that 50 more had been charged than what was on the reservation confirmation so we decided not to return againbut before leaving I went back into my room while still having access with my key card where I took back a gratuity of 50 meant for housekeeping which I used to pay off the managers fine However when asking her again about this situation she asked me once more to leave building
