We were very pleased with the level of service provided by Lori and Tim from Realstar Management Team. From our first conversation, Lori showed her sincerity and humility. She answered all of our questions in depth, which made us recognize her passion for her job. This was not our first apartment experience, but when we finally met them in person we could tell that the level of service was far superior to anything we had previously encountered. They welcomed us with open arms and spent time introducing us to all the amenities Silvercreek Towers and its local community had to offer. The lobby and other areas were recently renovated with new furniture, mailroom, laundry room etc., making it look absolutely stunning. We received a tour of available units on property before deciding on one that fit us perfectly. The grounds are kept in immaculate condition; they take great pride in their landscaping (flowers, plants, lawns etc.) making it feel like a vacation resort! Our unit is spacious compared to what we had seen before - it couldn't be better! The neighbours were also very friendly which made us feel even more at home here as pet owners (we have a puppy). I strongly advise against moving to this place. If I could, I'd give it negative stars. The management is intrusive and has conversations in common areas that other tenants shouldn't be hearing, making the living environment uncomfortable. Other residents are leaving for the same reason. The building is old and decrepit; during winter I had to buy space heaters to get by, which sent my electric bill soaring. On Christmas Day my kitchen flooded, which was inconvenient considering the staff had their own festivities too but at least they were getting paid for it! New Year's Eve saw me dealing with a sewage issue in my unit - not a great way to bring in the new year! There's mold on the first floor and water leakage in underground parking that needs fixing ASAP. I'm counting down the days until I can move out; it's overpriced compared with other options like Georgetown where you can get an entire house for what you pay here for a 1 bedroom apartment - even if heating and hydro costs more there, it'll be worth having a backyard and more space!
