This place was advertised as a gated community, but it's only half fenced and the doors are always open. After I was quoted a move in price, my family and I relocated only to be told that there were more fees on top of moving in. We had to sign up for the portal which costs money and utilities are shared with the entire complex; so even if you don't use water for a month you still end up owing money. The trash is located outside of the buildings but they're usually full. When we moved in they waived damage fees on the garage door that was already there, however; it wasn't clean as pasta sauce was splattered all over the kitchen island and bathtub visibly dirty. Parking spots get taken by high-school kids, people cutting across cause safety concerns, kids from neighboring buildings come over to harass our kids plus repairs are done shoddily while office is rarely open or phones unanswered. To make matters worse after signing lease renewal they charged us $100+ more due to added fees after fact! It's unfair with no other housing options especially since greed seems to be their main motivation here.
Part 2 of Mark Key's review: The apartments are decent, but the appliances and interior design elements are pretty cheap. The electric heat is subpar, and expensive - you can expect to pay over $250 in electric bills during winter months and still be cold. We had to clean the bathrooms upon moving in, but it wasn't too difficult. There was a piece of gum stuck in my carpet that I haven't been able to remove yet. The complex looks nice with lots of trees, but if you don't have a dog or anything else to do there's not much point in appreciating it; additionally, the pet play area isn't actually owned by them - they share it with a church, so if they ever sold the land we'd lose access to that amenity. The grills outside aren't convenient either as they're only on one side of the complex - plus they're rarely clean.
The location is great for delivery services since there are many fast food places nearby as well as two grocery stores; however, delivering drivers tend to get lost since there's no labeling system for buildings and just one map near mailboxes which gets covered with snow for part of the year.
