Living in the apartment, I was aware of the same issues JD had. As a single mother working hard to make ends meet, it was the only affordable and clean place I could find. Many tenants weren't employed and stayed at home all day long. My early mornings consisted of getting my kids ready for school and daycare, then off to work for me. Despite it being a school night, some parents would let their children run around outside and create noise late into the night. A lady had her large truck parked illegally in the lot but since she got sympathy from the superintendent nothing was done about it - until I found out she had hit my car when trying to park it there! The apartment looked clean on first sight but on closer inspection you could hear rats inside the walls - they even got into living areas! To protect our food we would have to keep everything in plastic containers; once my fridge broke down too, so food ended up getting thrown away while all I got from maintenance was "what do you want me to do?". After enduring this place for several years finally I managed to move somewhere better and still affordable.

If 0 stars was an option, that's what I would give. Recently, I moved out of the apartment and the rent was too high for not having hot water during my first week living there. On top of this, they charged $75 to park even though there were no assigned spots and loads of cars shouldn't have been there. Plus, $60 per wall if you wanted blinds which accumulated to $240 for me. My sink was leaking so much that it had to be put in a mop bucket; my bathroom sink wouldn't drain and the back door didn't even have a handle - just metal pieces sticking out. To this day, both my kitchen sink and back door are still broken after two years in this place! Management is horrible - if you forget your keys or get locked out then don't expect the buzzer to work either. They raise prices all the time while never fixing anything; graffiti on hallway walls, bugs on carpets... All these negative reviews are true - myself and other tenants weren't lying at all! This apartment is by far the worst place I've rented from; Marda Management isn't much better either though they're slightly better than this one.

I didn't smoke, had no pets or children, and paid my bills on time; yet when I brought up an issue with the landlord, their response was minimal. The maintenance staff were helpful but usually unavailable because of emergencies. It took two months for them to fix something in my kitchen. The tenants were unruly; many unemployed or teenagers who partied all night and made noise throughout the day. Young parents did not supervise their children well and the courtyard often had toys and trash scattered about. The parking lot was chaotic as there were no designated spots or security guards watching over it; one morning I woke up to find that someone had hit my car overnight and management said they weren't responsible for damages done in the lot - basically "park at your own risk". The smell of smoking drifted into my apartment from other units despite me paying a hefty monthly rent - it got so bad that I couldn't even invite people over! After contacting managers multiple times, they finally resolved it but this should never have been necessary in the first place.
