I was living in a unit at 214 Metcalfe for 1.5 years, and would have stayed longer had I not been relocating for work. CLV did a great job maintaining the building, with recently refurbished wood floors, new appliances and fixtures, crown molding and a well-kept fireplace. Whenever I encountered an issue needing attention, the maintenance worker responded promptly and sorted it out straight away. Additionally, all of the windows were recently replaced – great for keeping heat in through winter or out during summer. Overall this is an excellent building to consider if you want to live downtown Ottawa/Centre-ville as it's close to lots of amenities including Elgin and Bank Sts. As such I will consider CLV buildings when looking at apartments in Toronto.

I had the pleasure of living in this apartment for two years before I bought my home close by. It was, by far, my most favorite place to stay during my time in Ottawa. The building was safe and well-maintained, and when I had a slight mishap (breaking a window with a fan) staff were able to replace it quickly without any trouble. The apartment itself was spacious - two bedrooms plus balcony - with huge living and dining rooms. Being so near Bank Street, Elgin Street and the Canal made it an ideal location; just one block from all the excitement but still quiet enough for peace at home. If you are looking for somewhere to settle in that neighbourhood, I highly recommend this spot! CLV also provide a great bonus service of having their rental agent show me around different apartments without charge - incredibly helpful and friendly!
