Equity has their priorities askew and can be fairly inept. When we moved in, they neglected to point out that the parking spots we paid for were only for compact vehicles, so we paid extra for no reason. They also forgot to provide us with a storage key, which caused our move-in process to take five extra hours since the office was closed on Sundays and Mondays. To make matters worse, they didn't tell us that we needed to procure our own lock for storage. The elevators have been malfunctioning intermittently with no word on when it will be fixed; moreover, the trash rooms are unsanitary and the package room is chaotic - five of my packages went missing without proper explanation from staff members who claim this system is 'the most secure option'. Loft apartments are sweltering if there's any heat in the region and A/C hook-ups aren't offered in most buildings; Equity would rather spend money on projects like landscaping or door locks than making tenants comfortable or contented. Despite all this, I still give two stars due to its vicinity to Sammamish River Trail and grocery stores as well as its walking-friendly environment around Redmond; when deciding whether or not you want to live here, ask about amenities like ceiling fans Equity has their priorities askew and can be fairly inept. This is my second time leasing an Equity property, and I'm really impressed. The garden walk is absolutely stunning, and the top floor view is peaceful and beautiful no matter what the weather or time of day. To get into the building, key fob access is required; sometimes this can cause issues with receiving packages, but Tamra has been working hard to coordinate with delivery companies so they can access the secure package storage when front office hours are over. Additionally, neighboring buildings may have similar problems.
I love our open loft layout; the maintenance team was very helpful in getting furniture and appliances mounted to walls for us. We were also able to rent carts and dollies free of charge from the front office - something I didn't know I'd need! This is my first experience living in an urban area like this one, but thanks to Tamra's advice on how best to make this move successful - including all costs and considerations - I feel confident that it has gone well. All in all? 10/10 would recommend living here; hopefully you'll be moving nearby soon!
