I must caution those looking at this place as an option for living; I have resided here for a decade now, and since new management has taken over, everything has gone downhill. The building is dilapidated and not properly maintained. Additionally, the management is extremely impolite, and nothing ever gets done. I have filed multiple requests to fix my toilet that constantly overflows with suds from the rest of the building despite being unused. The windows are so outdated they barely open, allowing wind to blow in along with swarms of ladybugs. Outside my apartment they started a project that caused mud to splash onto both of my windows (one on the second floor which I cannot access). When asking them to clean it up so that I can look out again, they simply told me to do it myself by hanging out the window! They are also very disorganized; sending multiple messages about moving cars from their garage or else they will be towed---but then re-sending those same letters when they delay cleaning another day. Even in their letters one can tell how discourteous they are. Parking is a complete mess too; spots cost up to $60 each plus extra per hour if you have visitors over. Laundry machines charge $5 per load but don't even think aboutI must caution those looking at this place as an option for living; I have resided here for a decade now, and since new management has taken over, everything has gone downhill. The apartment I am renting is quite big for the price, and the neighborhood is great; however, the management leaves much to be desired. The super has a nasty attitude when responding to any inquiries or requests for work orders; he quickly dismisses any questions asked and refuses to give tenants the benefit of a doubt. Furthermore, ants and carpet beetles are rampant in the building, making it hard to get rid of on your own. When asking for help in dealing with this problem after exhausting all other solutions, I was told I'd have to pay for it. Upon opening up baseboard heaters to clean them out, there was an excessive amount of dust present along with old Q-Tips and subway sub club stamps from decades ago - suggesting that proper cleanings may not have been done between tenants. Requests made concerning drafty windows inspection as well as weather stripping around a patio door were met with indifference by him. In addition he has gaslighted many tenants including myself at times. There's also flooding coming from upstairs apartment that goes through my walls but no solutions were offered regarding this issue either - leading me to suspect mildew might be growing behind them due to this lack of action taken by the property manaThe apartment I am renting is quite big for the price, and the neighborhood is great; however, the management leaves much to be desired. It's understandable that an old building will not be perfect but what really disappoints me is how dismissive they are towards normal tenant concerns with only one exception: The woman who works in their office is wonderfully kind and helpful - which makes me try addressing my emails specifically to her somore ...hide ...
