2023-01-26T06:30:02ZThe apartment I lived in was horrible. Cockroaches infested it and it took 6 months to get rid of them. Then to add onto that, the neighbors were very disruptive, stomping around and when complaints were made they fell on deaf ears. The walls were paper thin so noise traveled through the walls easily, plus there was a gas leak that I called an emergency line for but got no response so I had to call the city myself. They came in and accused me of starting the leak even though I never did, as well as removing my smoke detectors (which would have been impossible). As a result they sent me an eviction letter with only two weeks notice! It seemed like their goal was to increase rent since they raise it every year and need lawyers present for defense when increasing it significantly. On top of all this, water pressure was terrible and home inspections happened very often which gave off suspicious vibes. Even doing laundry felt unsafe at times so I'd go across the street instead; garbage collection depended on where you lived but was always a long walk away from my spot.
