Hillside Walk Apartments are a great choice for pet owners. There is an abundance of off-leash areas east of the building, as well as a small fenced gravel area for potty breaks. Poop bags are available on the first floor and at 3 stations outside. The majority of dogs get along, and there aren't any 'barkers.' Since late 2020, the building has had a new manager who does an excellent job running it smoothly. Residents who obey the rules will love it here; those who disturb others' peace (noise, smoking weed, abusive attitude) will need to find another place to live. The maintenance staff does an excellent job maintaining cleanliness in the building; though occasionally the elevator may be unreliable but never for long periods of time. Rules and regulations established by Residential Tenancy are strictly followed with lots of notice provided prior to maintenance or entry requests. I don't hear my neighbors unless they're playing loud bass music due to me living on the top floor; overall I have had a positive experience here which was essential when we needed pet-friendly housing over winter months.

Since the opening of this building, I have had the pleasure of living here and can truly say I adore it! There have been significant improvements in the past year. The property is kept spotless by a wonderful cleaner and the manager is very responsive, remarkably friendly, and even humorous. Whenever there are repairs or issues I need help with, Oliver from maintenance is always prompt; he even assisted me one day carrying my TV to my apartment when he saw me struggling. My unit contains in-suite laundry and generally my neighbors are congenial except for those who don't pick up after their dogs. Best of all, we have a dog wash station which is great for my pet who loves lakes and puddles! Plus, it's not close to downtown but still easy to get around quickly. Having rented for over 15 years now, there are regular noises that come with any apartment complex (people being people!), but this place really takes care of me - I feel protected here and any worries are promptly addressed. Honestly couldn't ask for anything more! Kevin will just have to put up with me staying around longer!
