A lot of issues have come up in the complex from broken items to lack of cleanliness. The office staff, Brenda and Brea, are professional and courteous; when I spoke about apartment problems, most were fixed and the others are being handled. Some take time to resolve; for example, water issues. This is an older complex so it's difficult to do all repairs and maintenance quickly—patience is key. Renovations are happening but will be great when they're finished. I wouldn't have signed if I knew my lease would end in 12 months because I'd have to move out or relocate within the complex; it's hard as a single mom with young kids and expensive to move elsewhere. They were polite but unsympathetic when I expressed my opinion on this topic so another option would be best until renovations are done—it may even be worth the rent increase then! To hear from current tenants regarding remodeling before making that decision in 9 months would help me out too (assuming my post doesn't get me blackballed). Before Ascend took over, maintenance did keep grounds clean but with construction going on there's a lot more garbage now--more trash cans around common areas could help people want to pick up after themselves.
