I've heard some grievances about Homestead, but from my personal experience, I haven't had any difficulties. Compared to other landlords' horror stories, Homestead does keep up with maintenance and will appear when asked. They even went beyond the call of duty and did major renovations; for example at Bradstreet they changed all windows, restored elevators, improved security cameras and entry system and substituted hallway light fixtures - which must have cost more than what they were receiving in rent. When it comes to overdue payments (of which is probably due to pandemic too), they are reasonable. I lived in two buildings of theirs as a tenant and never had any serious problems (Bradstreet & Normandy).
The staff's behavior towards me has been mixed yet usually professional; I was always polite with them which was reciprocated by them. In the reviews concerning Vicki specifically, people said she wasn't the best but throughout our dealings with each other – from viewing the unit to signing the lease – there weren't any issues like those mentioned in those complaints. It could be that these reviewers were inappropriate so Vicki wouldn't tolerate it; if so then I understand her stance.
