My friend invited me to a twoday retreat out of the city When I arrived her husband was shoveling the front steps and I noticed that the house had not been taken care of The interior was overused and neglected with an unpleasant odor in the air Everything looked different from the pictures on the listing including furniture and kids toys cluttering up what should have been a Zenlike libraryoffice space Even more concerning were dirty bedsheets with dark hairs on them that hadnt been changed before our visit Additionally there was food in the dishwasher and coffee rings in the coffee pot that also needed attention The host charges a hefty cleaning fee yet their property is not kept up as expected Furthermore there were advertised outdoor amenities such as hot tubs and fire pits snowed in so they werent accessible or safe to use even when we asked if they were available beforehand we were told yes To top it all off when we voiced our concerns about cleanliness in light of Covid19 during this stay given its high cost the host became aggressive instead of being receptive to our worries The only positive aspect was found in the basement which had an indoor pool but no projector as advertised instead replaced by a small tv however there did seem to be some black mold present above it making it hazardous for swimming too Ultimately this property has potential but currently is both overpriced and neglected which makes for an unpleasant guest experience more ... hide ...
